Our Values

Our values come from Isaiah 61, which we hold as our guidepost.

Here are some of the phrases that we love, "...to bring good news to the poor…comfort the brokenhearted…proclaim that captives will be released…and prisoners will be freed…to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come…he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.
…they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory. They will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities destroyed long ago…Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land…and everlasting joy will be yours."

Core Values

Jewel Warriors is a faith based, non-profit organization that operates as a branch of Camp David International.

 

Core beliefs and values:

  • THERE IS HOPE- No matter how shattered, scared, shamed, worthless or depressed you feel, there is hope for you.

  • YOU CAN DO IT- No one is powerless; you have the power to change and take personal responsibility for your story. 

  • JOIN OTHERS- No one recovers alone; join others learning to renew, rebuild, reinvent, and reinvest to break unhealthy cycles and to thrive. It takes a village- we need you and you need a village.

  • BE TRANSFORMED- Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. When we give Him the keys, He heals the broken, gives freedom to the prisoner, and a bouquet of roses to the grieving. Jesus makes us shine like diamonds.

  • LIVE COMMISSIONED – We are in a battle and we are targets. We choose to be change agents and go into the darkness to bring God’s light.

Statement of Faith

  • One God in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit

  • Jesus Christ’s deity, virgin birth, sinless humanity, substitutionary death, atoning blood, bodily resurrection and ascension to heaven

  • The entire Bible is God’s infallible revelation to people

  • Salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone

  • The resurrection of the body: eternal glory for believers in heaven and everlasting punishment for unbelievers in hell

  • The church is the body of Christ, consisting of all believers

  • Obedience to our Lord’s command to lead people of all nations to faith in Christ and to grow in Christ-likeness

  • Christ’s personal return to establish His Kingdom on earth

  • The Holy Spirit indwells and empowers believers and is given as a seal and a pledge of our inheritance in Christ Jesus

  • God created man and woman, and marriage is a holy union between a man and a woman.
